Fitting Considerations

Breast implants typically create a rounder, more projected bust profile than natural tissue of the same size. This affects how costumes fit: standard patterns may need more FBA (full bust adjustment), and the projection depth may require additional ease at the front of fitted bodices.

Implants are firm and self-supporting to a greater degree than natural tissue of the same size, which means some strapless styles that wouldn't work for natural tissue can work for augmented busts. However, for long convention days, proper structural support remains important for comfort and posture.
