Character Selection
Any character can be cosplayed by any body type. That said, some character designs naturally suit a full bust more than others — characters with generous necklines, fitted bodices, structured armour, or full-figured canonical designs work with the body rather than requiring significant creative reinterpretation.
Costume Fitting
The fundamental technique is the Full Bust Adjustment (FBA) — adding width at the bust apex of a pattern without changing the shoulders, neckline, or waist. For bought costumes, letting out side seams specifically at the bust level is the targeted fix. See the fitting guide for detailed techniques.
Support at Conventions
Convention-day support planning is essential for larger busts. The right support depends on the costume — built-in structural support, strapless bras, adhesive cups, or lift tape all have their place. See our support guide for the full toolkit.
Photography
Camera height, posture, and the three-quarter turn all significantly affect how a full bust reads in photographs. Character-specific posing always looks more intentional than generic model posing. See our photography guide for detailed tips.
