Fitting Guide

Strapless Wear for Full Busts

Strapless garments can absolutely work for a full bust — with the right support strategy. This guide covers every option.

The Strapless Challenge

Strapless garments rely on friction, structure, and body heat to stay in place. For a larger bust, the weight of the chest pulls downward continuously — without straps to counteract this, significant structural support is needed in the garment itself, or from a well-fitted strapless undergarment.

Full-Bust Strapless Bras

Full-bust strapless bras from specialist brands have wide silicone-grip bands and properly engineered cup structures that support larger sizes. Standard fashion strapless bras rarely work above a D cup. This is worth the investment — a properly engineered full-bust strapless bra is genuinely transformative.

Adhesive Solutions

Silicone adhesive bra cups provide lift and coverage without any band. They work best for lighter costumes worn for shorter periods. For heavier busts or full-day wear, combine adhesive cups with a supportive longline bra if possible.

Built-In Structural Support

The most reliable approach for strapless costumes is built-in support — boning channels, sewn-in cups, and shelf bra construction. See our cosplay fitting guide for construction techniques.
